A BETTER STORY IN KANSAS CITY

Four years ago, a new story began in Kansas City.  

What started with 72 people committed to become disciple-makers in their contexts and 3 microchurches in one suburb of Kansas City - all committed to bringing the beauty, justice and good news of Jesus to their network of relationships - by God’s grace, that has multiplied into a movement of more than 300 committed disciple-makers and 100 new microchurches, across the city, engaging thousands of unchurched, seeking people with life-giving relationships, spiritual conversations, the Scriptures, and the Good News.

We began with 1 leadership team - what we call Hubs - and that has multiplied to 11 Hubs scattered throughout Kansas City, so every missionary and microchurch leader is coached, equipped, and supported.

The KC Underground has equipped Hub teams in 32 other cities. 

A move of God has begun, but it’s only chapter 1. 

WE ARE THE KC UNDERGROUND 

We exist to fill Kansas City with the beauty, justice, and Good News of Jesus by equipping and supporting ordinary people to flourish in their souls and families, spilling over into mission where they live, work, learn, and play.

This deeply rooted, highly relational, and, yet easily reproducible, form of disciple-making and being church, has prevailed in the New Testament and places like China and India. 

Now, the return to an ancient form of church is flourishing and multiplying in Kansas City.

Our dream is to see a missionary on every street and microchurch in every network of relationships so that every woman, man, girl and boy has repeated opportunities to see, hear, experience, and respond to the Gospel.  That could change the landscape of Kansas City with the beauty, justice and Good News of Jesus.
